What to Expect

Never had Structural Integration before? Here's a walkthrough of what happens — from the moment you arrive to how you'll feel afterward.

1

Before You Arrive

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing — athletic shorts and a tank top or sports bra work well. You'll remain clothed during the session.

Avoid heavy meals right before your appointment. A light snack is fine.

Arrive a few minutes early so we can start relaxed, not rushed.

No special preparation needed — just come as you are.

2

The Body Reading

We start standing. I'll watch how you hold yourself, how you walk, where your weight shifts.

This isn't a judgment — it's information. Your posture tells the story of your daily habits, old injuries, and compensations.

Together we identify the patterns we'll work with during the session.

3

On the Table

You'll lie on a bodywork table, face-up or face-down depending on the session focus.

I use precise manual pressure and guided movement to release fascial restrictions. You may be asked to make small, slow movements while I work.

The sensation is often described as a deep stretch or a feeling of tissue 'unwinding.' It can be intense, but never sharp or unbearable.

Communication is key — I'll check in regularly about pressure and comfort.

4

After the Session

Drink plenty of water. Your body is processing changes at the tissue level.

You might feel taller, lighter, or like you're walking differently. This is normal — your structure is reorganizing.

Some people feel energetic, others feel ready for a nap. Both are fine. Listen to your body.

I may give you simple movement or awareness exercises to support the work between sessions.

Pause. Notice your breath.

Right now, wherever you are, take one slow breath and notice where it goes. Does it fill your chest? Your belly? Your back? This awareness — of how your body actually feels in this moment — is the beginning of the work we'll do together.
